WE COMMIT TO THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY MODEL
Castelomega actively participates in the Catalonia waste and resource prevention and management program Precat20, which aims to contribute from the field of waste to sustainable development, the efficient use of waste and a circular economy that is competitive and at the same time generates new activities.
Our company is aware of the environmental aggressiveness of the current model, based on short production cycles that generate a large amount of waste due to obsolescence, and that must now give way to a new process in which value is given to the recycling, waste reduction and repair of parts and components.
Through participation in Barcelona Activa business support programs that have received technical advice from LEITAT, Castelomega is unequivocally involved with the basic concepts of the Circular Economy, promoting new business models focused on extending the useful life of motors, industrial electronics and everything related to the reuse of parts. Another area of work has focused on the energy efficiency of Castelomega’s own activity, thus carrying out a complete energy audit from which efficiency measures have been established, thus contributing to an improvement in terms of sustainability.

- Launch of a SMART WORKSHOP in the company’s new facilities
These projects are aligned with the objectives of the European Union within the framework of the Green Deal presented in 2019.
This agreement promotes sustainable economic growth with a strategy aimed at transforming the EU into an efficient society in the use of resources, which meets the goal of reducing gas emissions by 80% by 2050 and avoiding greenhouse effect.
